Flooring - Colodur
Colodur is a high performance Aliphatic PU single component resin, which cures after reacting with Atmospheric moisture, providing tough and flexible coatings, with high resistance to abrasion and chemical agents. It provides excellent surface protection for floors subjected to intense wear and tear. This product does not chalk or change colour after exposure to UV radiation, so it is recommended for outside applications. It can be made in any desired colour.

Sealing and protection of floors made with Epoxy PU or other types of self-levelling mortars
Advantages:
- Being a single component product, no blending is required and application is extremely easy, saving time. Waste and mistakes are avoided.
- Total colour stability to sun and to UV rays.
- Excellent resistance to abrasion and wear and tear.
- Fast curing and re-painting.
- Good coverage.
Available Colours:
- Transparent - Shiny or Matt (which can be achieved using Rayston's Matting Additive - see data sheet).
- Red, Green, Grey etc.
Application / Dosing:
There are 2 versions of COLODUR, depending on the use for the product:
COLODUR 40%. Ideal as a general purpose paint or sealant on concrete, epoxy flooring, etc.
COLODUR 60%. Ideal for achieving a TRANSPARENT finish or for restoration of high porosity floors, such as epoxy multilayer systems (epoxy resin + thick granules), or antique mosaics.
In both cases the minimum recommended dosage is 2.5 m2 / Kg (0.4 Kg / m2), in 2 coats (0,4 Kg each). It is possible to obtain a 1 mm thick coating by applying 1,5 Kg in 2 (0,75 Kg/m2/coat) or three coats (0,5 Kg/m2/coat).
It is possible that the level of floor absorption varies, so additional coats may be required in certain areas.
The supports to be treated must always be dry and clean. It is always better to apply a layer PU PRIMER first in order to improve adhesion. (see data sheet).
In coloured versions, it is important to homogenise the product properly with an electric mixer before application.
Rayston's PU Solvent is recommended for product dilution & tool cleaning.
Temperature of application: + 10 º C. Product will cure very slowly below this temperature.
