Protection, Support and Reinforcement

Automotive

Intermas AUTOSYST meshes have been designed specifically to reinforce and strengthen automotive polyurethane parts and components. Applications include reinforcement of flexible, semi-rigid and rigid polyurethane foam and fabrics in automotive seating (backs and bottoms), sound proofing, roofing, seperation trays for trunks, airbags, head rests, head liners and door panels.

These meshes are made from thermoplastics, such as polyethylene and polypropylene, which are non-polluting and 100% recyclable, allowing for very easy disposal at the end of their life.

Intermas also actively participates with customers' R&D departments to maximize the efficiency and performance of automotive components, providing the optimum solution at minimum cost.

Furniture

Furniture

Intermas meshes are successfully used in mattresses and other furniture products. The Mattressyst range has been specifically designed for the mattress industry.

These meshes have an ideal combination of weight, tensile strength and functionality properties. This gives them important advantages in the internal protection and support of mattresses such as quilt backing, pad reinforcement and insulation.

Oriented Meshes
The Intermas range of Bi-Axially Orientated Polypropylene (BOP) nets are light weight meshes with a very high tensile strength and little elongation. In mattresses, these are ideal for spring separation, pads and cushion reinforcement (ie quilt backing) as well as to protect latex or polyurethane foam fillings. The range of BOP mesh sizes and roll widths is very wide and there is also the option to add flame retardant and anti microbial agents to the polymer.

Texnet (Net + Non Woven)
This special product is a combination of a non-woven (which provides total seperation, continuity and softness) laminated onto a BOP net (which gives high tensile strength, low elongation and deformation).
The laminated mesh is very competitively priced and is used in key applications of cushioning, quilt backing and dust covers.

Extra Strong Grid
Where extra strength and firmness is required, as in premium mattresses and mattress parts (e.g. lumbar zone) the Intermas extra strong grid is the idea product.

Food

Bakery Mesh
When bread is removed from the oven, it is placed on this mesh which allows air to ventilate around the bread.

Cheese Draining Grids
Intermas produce a wide range of cheese drainage nets to elevate and support the cheese and also seperation nets where several layers of cheese can be salt treated at the same time.

Composites
Intermas has developed a wide range of meshes specifically for the "composites" industry - these meshes facilitate the quick and even distribution of resin through the thermal infusion. Sectors such as aeronautic, yachts, bridges, speed boats, antennae, and wind turbine blades use these meshes with optimal results.

Industrial Protection and Packaging
The Protectsyst range of Intermas extruded plastic nets are used for the protection and packaging of industrial and consumer products. This range includes tubular protective sleeves, pallet seperation nets, snake wrap and breathable pallet wrap. A key advantage is these meshes are manufactured from 100% recyclable and non-polluting raw materials.

Protective tubular sleeves
The range of reusable, tubular stretchy protective sleeves seperate products from one another, thus avoiding direct contact between surfaces and preventing scratches and other damage from occuring. The special rhombic shape of the mesh means they conform well around irregularly shaped products.

The elasticity and memory of these sleeves makes them ideal for protecting, seperating and packaging mechanical parts and composites, tubular products (gas bottles, chair legs), ceramic and glass products (sanitary ware, wine bottles, perfumes) etc.

Because these nets are permeable, special treatments such as spray, impregnation or bathing (oil / grease cleaning solvents etc) can be applied, whilst the products are protected and wrapped.

Intermas manufactures a huge range of protective sleeves, available in a wide selection of colours, mesh sizes, strand thicknesses, weights, diameters and are supplied in rolls or in cut pieces.

Being produced from 100% recyclable plastic these sleeves are easy to dispose of.

Pallet and Product Seperation meshes
Intermas' extruded nets are used to seperate, stack, hold and protect products such as engineering components, tools, sanitary ware ect on pallets preventing contact and damage. These meshes allow air and liquid (including oil and grease) to flow through during production, storage and transport. Seperation meshes are available in a wide selection of weights, mesh sizes, thicknesses and colours and are made with a special polymer blend to help "stick" products in place during transport. The nets are inert and will not rust or absorb chemicals.

Snake Wrap Systems
Intermas extruded nets provide a very effective solution for holding tubular or unusually shaped products, such as can ends, on pallets. The so-called "snake mesh" is wound between layers to create pallet stability. The advantage of using these meshes, rather than films etc is that it allows movement of air and is, therefore, ideal for products which are stored at either hot or cold temperatures.

Breathable Pallet Wrap
The Intermas range of BOP lightweight, yet strong meshes are used to wrap products securely onto pallets. Available in a wide range of mesh sizes, weights and roll dimensions, they are useful for a variety of packaging applications due to their many advantages:

The goods may be aired and treated whilst stable on pallets i.e. cooling, drying, fumigation etc

The goods are visible and can easily be inspected without being upwrapped
