Intermas
snake wrap is used to hold layers of tubular palletised products together
–
giving the following advantages:
GREATER PRODUCT STABILITY. Intermas Snake wrap is woven between
layers of tubular products on pallets to contain and provide greater
pallet stability.
STRENGTH. Oriented nets have a high tensile strength and do
not stretch further once it has been applied. Any cuts in the net
will not spread, thus maintaining the stability of the loaded pallet.
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY. Intermas snake wrap is supplied as
either an oriented or knitted net and can be produced from polypropylene
or polyethylene to enable greater waste recyclability.
BREATHABILITY. Snake wrap has an open mesh, allowing the palletized
product to breathe, easily allowing fumigation, cooling and ventilation.

Parts Protection and Packaging |

Intermas
tubular protective sleeves are widely used to protect valuable
parts.
These are colour coded for ease of use and are available in rolls
or cut to size.
APPLICATIONS
- Shellfish – the open mesh structure allows aeration –
enabling the fish to remain fresh longer.
- Plants - the sleeves adapt to the shape of the plant without damaging
the foliage
- Ceramic and sanitary fittings. The flexible tubular nets mould themselves
to the contours of the delicate products, protecting them from damage.
- Toys and Promotional Items. Due to the see through nature of the
sleeves, the sleeves are perfect for wrapping around these products

Intermas
part separation polyethylene netting is non-corrosive and resistant
to most chemicals and oils. The open diamond mesh allows for air
circulation, ideal for applications involving cleaning solvents, water
or humidity.
These square or rhombic shaped nets allow air or liquid to pass from
one section to another and are available in a wide range of mesh sizes,
thickness, weight and colours.

Air-o-Film
Air-o-Film is a new breathable, pre-stretched pallet wrap. It has
been specifically designed to fulfill the market requirement for a
new high quality, environmentally friendly, 100% recyclable packaging
solution.
Air-o-Film advantages
• Lower volume of waste and 100% recyclable.
- Due to its "sticky" property, as waste Air-o-Film
occupies a smaller volume than similar products. Standard Air-o-Film
has a thickness of 9 microns and weighs just 3.8 g / metre.
- Air-o-Film has great environmental benefits - less packaging
material is required, due to its improved properties of strength
and aeration. Air-o-Film is also 100% recyclable since it is based
on polyethylene (LLDPE).
• Air-o-Film allows condensation to
leave -
protecting the goods and other packaging materials.
• Fork lift friendly
Due to its sticky nature, Air-o-Film changes into a ball of waste
as soon as it is unwrapped. This ensures that the Air-o-Film wrap
does not become tangled in the wheels of fork lift trucks - a serious
problem with some other pallet wraps.

Beer and Beverages
Beers and beverages are palletised hot, during the final packaging
stage. When standard stretch film is used, the condensation created
cannot escape, damaging goods and other packaging materials.
Air-o-Film has the following major advantages:
- No damage to corrugated boxes
- No damage to surface graphics
- No gluing problems when used with multi-packs
- No bottle cap rusting
- Distribution area and personnel stay dry when unwrapping
- Load stability maintained in transit
- Fully automated and hand wrap application
(When used in automatic production lines the palletising machine should
have the capability to melt-bond the edge of the film on top of the
wrapped pallet)
Fruit and Vegetables
The net-like structure of the Air-o-Film allows air to enter freely
resulting in fruit and vegetables remain fresh and in an excellent
condition during their transportation and storage.
Ultra flow Air-o-Film can be used for wrapping pallets, such as those
containing sacks of potatoes, onions, etc.
Flower industry
Flower Air-o-Film has been specifically designed to suit the delicate
packaging needs of the flower industry.
Air-o-film allows flowers to breathe without being damaged.
The Air-o-Film openings are smaller than the leaves of the packaged
flowers. This keeps flowers fresh and in very good condition while
damage to leaves and stems is avoided.
Deep-Freeze Products
Air-o-Film is used for wrapping deep freeze products because its
structure has many advantages:
- It permits condensation to leave.
- Due to its perforations, Air-o-Film facilitates the quick, uniform
freezing of products - saving time, money, and energy
- The use of a standard stretch film creates an insulating surface,
resulting in a longer freeze time than that of the Air-o-Film.
- During defrosting the Air-o-Film allows humidity to escape without
damaging the valuable products.

Air-o-Film Types
Standard Air-o-Film: The majority of products
are palletised using this particular type.
Premium Air-o-Film: For products or pallet with
uneven or rough surfaces/edges (e.g. sacks, bricks, etc.). It is also
ideal for automated palletising machines equipped with pre-stretching
system.
Blue Air-o-Film: A blue version of the standard
type for wrapping pallets such as those containing allimentary products.
Eco Air-o-Film: A light version of the standard
type especially designed for wrapping light pallets such as those
containing cartoons of yoghurt, milk etc.
Micro Flowra Air-o-Film: An Air-o-Film wi th
smaller openings than the Macro Flowra, easy tearing and self adhesive
properties.
Macro Flowra Air-o-Film: This is ideal for the
flower industry. The openings do not allow leaves, stems and flower
buds to protrude.
Semi Ultra Air-o-Film: Combines the advantages
of Standard and Ultra Air-o-Film, thus it is ideal for palletising
fruit and vegetables. Moreover, due to its sticky nature unwrapping
is easier without causing problems to loading facilities.
Ultra Flow Air-o-Film: Ideal for fruit and vegetables.
The net-like structure allows air to enter freely and as a result
fruit and vegetables remain fresh and in good condition.
Heavy Duty Air-o-Film: For security transport
of heavy products.
