Low carbon footprint Hortaflex MulchMat is a new organic weed suppression and moisture conserving blanket which fully breaks down into nutritious matter over 4 to 5 years. Hortafl ex is made from an environmentally friendly biopolymer called Polylactic Acid (PLA) which is made by fermenting plant sugars extracted from starch rich, 100% annually renewable vegetables such as corn or sugar beet.
