Lantern systems
INTERMAS nets’, Diamond-HDPE, allow the growth of oysters, scallops, etc in hanging systems and deep waters, by the use of long lines or similar systems.
The main advantages of this type of system are the very low investment costs required, as well as the low surface tension of extruded plastic materials, which allows a longer time under water, as there is a smaller adhesion of algae and micro-organisms onto the net. Setting up this type of system is extremely easy, fast and economic, in both cases: BOP (square nets, normally sold in rolls of 2 m of width) and HDPE nets (rhombic shape, tubular nets in rope).
