Growcamp Raised Bed Greenhouse
A truly impressive garden structure...an innovative combination of raised bed and greenhouse kit for year round growing with professional results.
- GrowCamp is the 2009 Glee award winning modular growing frame system, ergonomically designed with all of the advantages of greenhouses - raised planting beds and growing trays - in one easy to use, garden structure with no digging.
- With no heavy, back breaking digging required, simply assemble the module in the required position - ie on a patio, lawn, paving, bare soil or balcony, then fill the raised planter bed with compost and start growing your favourite vegetables.
- With its excellent, protective packaging and attractive, informative box, Grow Your Own consumers will be drawn to the GrowCamp because it means they can grow vegetables all year round.
- Retailers can make use of the free GrowCamp presentation DVD, showing how easily the structure is erected and how simple it could be for them to grow their own vegetables. Garden centres can add value by offering a full installation service, including compost and seedlings.
-
Through its unique combination of a greenhouse with an insect net and a raised
bed, GrowCamp protects plants grown in the greenhouse from snails, insects or
caterpillars or being destroyed by the weather .

Basic Module
The Basic GrowCamp module measures 1.2m x 1.2m and can be extended by adding extra modules each measuring 1.2m. It comes with a plastic (UV Stabilised) cover and an insect net cover as standard. The upper frame is made from hard plastic.
Plastic Cover
- Protects against the cold and light night frost, considerably extending the growing season.
- Attached with Velcro and can be rolled up fully, to allow the cooling wind to fl ow in when the weather is hot.
Insect Net
- Protects against carrot flies, white garden butterfl ies and snails.
- Windbreak
- Shields against strong light and heavy rain, whilst allowing 90% of rain to gently trickle in.
- Attached with Velcro
Raised Bed
The GrowCamp bed is raised 50 cm off the ground providing a very comfortable working height. This also ensures four times higher yield than a traditional vegetable garden due to the following factors:
Soil Structure
- Raised beds have more porous soil as it is not compacted - making it easier for the roots to seek downwards rather than outwards. Plants can be placed closer and harvested more often.
- Loose, moist soil soon becomes fi lled with earthworms and essential micro organisms which preserves the good soil structure for years.
- The bed is open at the bottom, so there is no risk of water accumulating and the roots will always have sufficient oxygen.
Temperature
- Raised beds are heated from above and the sides, considerably extending the growing season.
Light
- Raised beds receive more light, allowing plants to be placed closer together, increasing yield / m2.
Planting Trays
- Each module can house up to six Grow Trays with 3 on the supporting pole above and 3 at raised bed level. Each tray is 40 cm wide and can carry 10 kg.
Easy Watering
- Deep grooves in the base of the tray, along with the capillary matting, act as a water reservoir, capable of storing up to 1.5 litres of water, preventing seedlings and plants from drying out.
Growing Seedlings
- The trays are excellent for growing seedlings – the heat is easily controlled by means of the plastic cover on the GrowCamp which can be easily rolled up and down.
- Produces up to four times higher yield due to the excellent growing conditions of soil, temperature and light
- Comfortable working height – well defi ned area
- Easy to assemble – can be placed almost anywhere
- No need for pesticides
