Fleximas

Freddie Cottingham, Landscape Designer at Millbrook says he is delighted with the professionalism of the Fleximas team and that the shade sails have created exactly the right impression he wanted to help increase sales of plants for shade.

Millbrook Garden Company asked Fleximas to design and install a dramatic shade sail for their new “Made For Shade” area in their Gravesend centre. Freddie Cottingham, Landscape Designer, at Millbrook Garden Company explained they needed a shaded area to show their customers which plants grow well in shade and tempt them to buy them.

The Fleximas design team worked closely with Freddie, who managed much of the site work himself. Fleximas delivered the custom-made galvanized poles with fittings which Freddie’s team installed. The measurements for the sails were then taken so that they could be made to the exact size and tension.

Five individual sails were in situ in time for the grand opening at Gravesend and the whole design, manufacture and installation was completed within 8 weeks.

Freddie says the Made For Shade area is a great success, encouraging customers to head to the area to see what it is about. Sales of plants for shade have increased and Freddie says he recommends the Fleximas team for anyone needing an outside shaded space.
